Being Resourceful: On and Off Campus
A workshop targeted to Illustrator Educators

March 16, 2013  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please join us for a full day workshop that includes:


-A morning session titled "Fundraising for Illustrators" led by Juliana Steele, Fractured Atlas's Program Specialist for Fiscal Sponsorship. She will share information on finding resources and raising money for your illustration projects.


-Break for a delicious Brunch in the Hall of Fame Dining Room surrounded by a curated exhibit titled Westward, Ho! Works from the Society’s Permanent Collection (included in fee).


-An afternoon session titled "Finders Keepers" led by Illustrator Educator Chris Spollen who is resourceful in turning found objects into art. He will help you do the same.

 

SUPPLIES:

What you might bring- keep it simple, look around you for the possibilities that can be recycled and turned into art. Paper plates, old bottle caps, paper towel cardboard rolls, etc., Elmer’s wood glue, goop (silicone based glue). Please bring something to doodle on and doodle with. Some thumbnail sketches will be part of this workshop. Professor Spollen will bring in some of his materials and share them with the group. Lets make it fun!
