Illustrator and historian Murrary Tinkelman will lead a special presentation on the history of illustration.  The event will be followed with a cocktail reception.

Illustrators Sketch Night at the Society of Illustrators

Tuesday, November 8  6:30 - 9:30pm

Illustrators will pose alongside professional models as the Dining Room transforms into a large sketch studio. The live jazz will be performed by The Half-Tones featuring illustrators Barry Blitt, Joe Ciardiello and Michael Sloan with special guest guitarist Kenny Wessel.  Open to the public.

An Evening with Children's Book Icons

The Society of Illustrators presents an evening with children's book icons and illustrators Ted and Besty Lewin, Jerry Pinkney, and acclaimed writer and critic Leonard Marcus.  The evening will include a silent auction featuring a selection of original art sponsored by the Children's Book Council. A book signing will follow.
