2nd - 4th Grade After School Series: Illustration and Visual Storytelling with Clare Pernice

Every Thursday from November 7 - January 16, 2020.
Children's book author and illustrator, Clare Pernice will lead this 8 week illustration workshop series. Participants will discover the art of comic books and picture books and create their own 8 page book.
Tour of The Original Art: The Fine Art of Children’s Book Illustration Exhibition - with a hands on scavenger hunt.
At the end of the 8 week series participants will receive a bound picture book of their illustrated story. All artwork and the finished books will be on display at a reception for families and friends on January 22nd. Each participant will receive a certificate from the Society of Illustrators.
Born and raised in England, Clare Pernice’s passion for children’s books took root while influenced by her favorite local author Roald Dahl and her witty story telling father. Having an avid interest in art and design, she went on to graduate from London’s Central Saint Martin’s School of Art and has since designed, illustrated and exhibited works in Paris, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Charleston and New York. She has illustrated and written children’s books, designed clothes, toys, murals and created costumes and props for film and stage.
$590 for 8 week series (includes all materials and evening reception)
