Within the framework of the exhibition "Artists and Masterpieces of Illustration", created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition, a special panel will be held at the Society of Illustrators on December 13 featuring illustrators Beatrice Alemagna, Etienne Delessert, and Chris Rashka; Leonard S. Marcus, Children's Books historian and critic; Maria Russo, Children’s Books Editor at The New York Times; Paola Vassalli, curator of the exhibition; Elena Pasoli, Project Manager of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

The collective "Artists and masterpieces of illustration" intends to record the evolution and the latest trends in illustrated children’s books through the work of fifty great artists from all over the world who participated in or made their debut at the Illustrators Exhibition. Fifty illustrators and fifty masterpieces, great classics that have influenced generations of illustrators and readers.
