In a rare opportunity, iconic artist Ralph Steadman will take visitors at the Society of Illustrators in NYC through his England studio via Skype. Audience members will be able to explore his materials and set-up, while our host Jim Caruso (Flying Dog Brewery, CEO) will lead a conversation and discuss his incredible life and work.

About Ralph Steadman
Steadman is revered by the illustration community as one of the most important and influential illustrators of our time. His art has become recognizable and celebrated by fellow artists and authors, celebrities, and the general public. Ralph Steadman’s colorful, satirical linear drawings have appeared in numerous publications including Punch, Private Eye, The Times, The New York Times, The New Statesman, Observer Magazine, Radio Times, and many more. He is also the artist behind multiple children’s books including No Room to Swing a Cat, Teddy, Where Are You?, The Big Red Squirrel, and others.
In 1969, history would be made when Steadman was partnered with journalist Hunter S. Thompson to cover the Kentucky Derby for Scanlan’s Weekly. Their many collaborations continued until Thompson’s death in 2005. To learn more about Steadman please visit his website at www.ralphsteadman.com.
