Saturday Stories: Illustrator-led Workshops for Children & Families : Featuring Catia Chien

May 18, 2019 |
11:00 am to 1:00 pm

Presented monthly, Saturday Stories invites guest illustrators to lead children and their adult companions in a read-aloud and hands-on workshop related to the wide range of materials and processes that illustrators use to create their picture books.

On May 18th, join Catia Chien, award winning illustrator of Turtle Town (words by Michelle Cuevas).

Catia will read Turtle Town and show how she paints her dreamy, mysteriously abstract illustrations. During this hands-on workshop participants will create a collaborative mixed media town of turtle! Brainstorm ideas to decide what the new town of turtle will look like, and make it happen!

All ages 5 and up!
