Fashion Sketch Night: Gibson Girl Goes Glam!
October 19, 2017 |
6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Expanding on our popular Thursday night costumed sketch sessions we are proud to present Fashion Sketch Night! So if you love fashion explore your passion at Fashion Sketch Night!
This Thursday, in honor of the current exhibit Fashion and Satire: Drawings of Orson Byron Lowell and Charles Dana Gibson, sketch night celebrates the Gibson Girl- the illustrated creation of the Society of Illustrators past president and Hall of Fame recipient Charles Dana Gibson. During the 1890s, it was he who fashioned for the world a whole new standard for romantic love and resurrected chivalry, and introduced the elusive creature aloof but tender, naughty but adorable, and always, always beautiful—the Gibson Girl. Models Arielle and Brendan bring the Gibson Girl to the Society in this modern twist!
$20/ $15 students/seniors
Special Sketch Nights include complimentary small plates buffet.
