Tabling at the MoCCA Arts Festival

Applications for the 2020 MoCCA Arts Festival are now closed.

Payment is only required if your application is accepted. All payments must be made in US DOLLARS. Checks should be made out to the Society of Illustrators. There will be a $25.00 charge for all returned checks. If you are paying by credit card the Society will email you a link to pay online once your application has been approved.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance in mid January. If accepted, the Exhibitor of Record will receive directions for to submit bios, images, and payment.

Table Information

Each full table is 6’ x 2.5’ and comes with 2 chairs; each half-table comes with 1 chair. All tables come with a table cloth.

Should the need arise for any confirmed exhibitors to drop out of exhibiting at the 2020 MoCCA Arts Fest, our refund policy is as follows:

• There is a $50 non-refundable deposit on all exhibitor space.

• After March 1, 2020, all payments are non-refundable.

• Reservations are not transferable.

Exhibitor Badge Information

Each full table receives up to 5 badges. Each half table receives up to 3 badges. Only names provided on this application will receive badges. There will be no additional badges available at the Fest.

For additional badges, please contact us to purchase at $10 a piece. Only table names will be listed in the Souvenir Journal. Each exhibitor name will be listed individually on the website.

Student-led clubs may purchase tables at the Student Price. Schools pay the Non-member fee unless they are Educator Members. Individual Members of the Society of Illustrators may not use their discount for a School table. 

WiFi Policy

Table fees include exhibitor access to wifi during the Festival.

Fine Print

Exhibitors are restricted to comic and cartoon artists and their representatives. This includes: Artists of creator-owned comics, publishers, and writers, selling only comic/cartoon art, comics and graphic novels. Exhibitors must display published material (self-published accepted) to be eligible.

The MoCCA Arts Fest and its representatives are not responsible for any loss, damages, claims, or injury. All exhibitors are expected to adhere to all New York City, New York State, and Metropolitan West rules and laws.

In addition, the following rules must be observed:

• Exhibitors shall keep all designated areas clean and will not nail, screw or attach anything to the Metropolitan West facilities.

• Outside alcoholic beverages and the use of any illegal substances in the Metropolitan West during festival hours is prohibited .

• The subletting of exhibit space without prior written permission of the MoCCA Arts Fest is prohibited.

• No item of any type maybe placed in the aisles. All display material must conform to local fire regulations.

In the event that an exhibitor is removed from the MoCCA Arts Fest for failure to abide to any of these rules, all monies paid shall be forfeited to the Society of Illustrators and no refund shall be made.

Exhibitors shall not utilize any fixture, device, merchandise or activity that is illegal, in bad taste, or detrimental to the MoCCA Arts Fest or the comics industry (as determined by the Society of Illustrators in its sole discretion).

Our “Adult Content” policy is: We respect your First Amendment rights, but we try our best to keep the event a safe place where parents can be proud to take their kids. Therefore, we respectfully request that there be no openly displayed material depicting explicit violence, nudity, or sexual conduct. Adult material must not be sold, given, distributed, or accessible to minors.

Exhibitors are solely responsible for all taxes. If you are selling taxable items, you are required by New York State law to file the “Application for Registration as a Sales Tax Vendor (DTF-17)” form. This form and more information can be found at: If you need help filling out the form or need information about what items are taxable, go to or call (800)-225-5829 for assistance. If you already have a resale number for New York State, remember to bring a copy of your Certificate or Authority to the Festival for presentation if requested.

In order for everyone to have the best event possible, we ask that you respect your fellow exhibitors, especially in terms of noise and space use consideration.

If any problems arise during the MoCCA Arts Fest, please ask Exhibitor Relations for guidance.

The MoCCA Arts Fest shall have the full power in the interpretation and enforcement of all contract regulations contained herein and the power to make such amendments thereto, and such further rules and regulations shall be considered necessary and proper.

Harassment Policy

MoCCA Fest is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, fandom, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, political/religious background, body size, race, religion, etc.

Code of Conduct

Attendees must respect common sense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. MoCCA Fest reserves the right to revoke, without refund, the membership and badge of any attendee not in compliance with this policy. Persons finding themselves in a situation where they feel their safety is at risk or who become aware of an attendee not in compliance with this policy should immediately locate the nearest member of security, or staff member, so that the matter can be handled in an expeditious manner.

Pet Policy 

Animals are not allowed into the Festival with the exception of service animals. If your service animal is not wearing any kind of ID identifying them as a service animal, you may be stopped by security.
