Every Tuesday from September 3rd - December 17th, 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
Children’s book author and illustrator, Clare Pernice will lead this 15 week illustration workshop series. These hands on classes will conclude with each participant having produced a 4-page mini comic zine, an 8-page picture book, a greeting card, a poster, and a 3D character design. Materials used will include ink, watercolor, markers, pencils and collage. We will review the basics of sequential visual storytelling, which includes creating characters, settings, writing, layout and composition. The final student projects will be displayed on exhibit during an evening reception and certificate presentation on January 15th at 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the Society of Illustrators.
